Time for another game review! I wanted to hype this game up because it soothes my soul, and it was my pregnancy game. I got this game last year, and I have enjoyed every second of it. PowerWash Simulator is a first person simulation game where you power wash everything. The game was released in 2022 by FuturLab.

Story/Plot 5 of 5 ★★★★★
You are a power washer. It is your job to complete the tasks the citizens of Muckington throw at you. Whether it be houses, vehicles, or ancient artifacts, have power washer, will power wash. The “storyline” is told through the emails you receive for jobs. Through the messages you learn about the quirky citizens of Muckington and their lives. During the cleaning jobs, the people will send text messages to update you or inform you of past stories or current happenings. There is a whole arc about the Mayor’s missing cat. The story is not the main feature of the game, but they didn’t leave it out and it helps with the progression of the cleanings.

Visuals/Graphics 4 of 5 ★★★★
The graphics are very bright and colorful once you start clearing the gunk away. There are no people to see in the game so the focus is only on the areas you are cleaning. That being said, the levels are fun and creative. Most of the designs are simplistic, but there are a few crazy houses, vehicles, etc. that stand out. There are expansion packs where there are specialized places to play in that really stand out. The Alice in Wonderland area (DLC) is particularly crazy to look at. There are bright psychedelic colors and much more. The SpongeBob (DLC) world is cartoonish. The cleaning equipment changes with the style of the world you pick also!

Gameplay 4 of 5 ★★★★
This game is a simulator where you just clean the areas you are suppose to clean. The setup is easy. There are different nozzles to choose from to help with the cleaning process, including different hose lengths to reach farther. For the places/things that are very tall and that can’t be reached with with just the power washer, there are step stools, ladders, and scaffolds to help get to the tops of places. One of the reasons I like this game so much is that the gameplay is really simple. It is a casual and chill game to play. Now, for those of you who want more than casual. They have the multiplayer options, and they also have challenge modes where you race against the clock to get everything clean or you have to clean the things within a certain water limit! Free play is another option where you can revisit your favorite places and things to power wash.

All in all this is a really fun little game to play. It’s also nice because they are still putting out new DLCs for the game. Shrek is the newest one available. Almost all the DLCs cost extra, so that is up to the player to decide if it is worth it. For me, it was because this is a very chill and humorous game to play. One last little thing to leave you with about the game is that in the base game almost every level (if not all the levels) have the little gnomes (see picture above of gnome in toilet) somewhere on the map. It is fun to see where the little guys will end up. Have fun power washing!
PowerWash Simulator 4.3 out of 5 stars
